Millennials are Averse to Communicating with Advisors on Social Media

While many advisors believe social media is a valuable tool for reaching younger audiences, only 0.03% of millennials surveyed want firms contacting them via social media. Millennials strongly prefer reaching out to their parents for advice on financial planning, considering half of respondents do not know how a pension works. This study does not deem social media ineffective for advisors, but rather provides parameters for engaging younger generations in a financial context.

Technology Will Never Replace the Need for Innovative People
