While this has changed journalism and news sharing for the better, it can be difficult to keep up with the constant flow of messages when you are offline. Twitter’s new “while you were away” feature aims to fill in the gaps by providing returning users with recaps: selected tweets based on user engagement factors such as retweets and favorites.
